Project title: A Fluid-Structure Interaction tool for the protection of clean energy production sites Project duration: 24 months

Emerging strategic theme: Sustainability and protection of natural resources Cluster: Climate, Energy and Mobility Sub‑cluster: 4. Energy use is efficient, sustainable, accessible and safe for all, thanks to a clean energy system and a just transition. Main ERC field: PE – Physical Sciences and Engineering ERC subfields:

  1. PE8_3 – Civil engineering, architecture, offshore construction, lightweight structures, geotechnics
  2. PE8_5 – Fluid mechanics

Objectives and Research

The project aims to develop an advanced simulation tool for fluid–structure interaction to protect clean‑energy production sites (such as offshore wind farms or marine platforms) from extreme events such as floods or tsunamis.

🌿 Compliance with the DNSH Principle

The research activities of the FSI‑CEP project are carried out in full compliance with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle, ensuring that no phase of the study causes significant harm to the six environmental objectives defined by the EU Taxonomy, in accordance with the MEF Operational Guidelines.

⚖️ Conflict of Interest and Integrity

All personnel involved have signed formal declarations confirming the absence of conflicts of interest pursuant to Art. 61 of Regulation (EU, Euratom) 2018/1046. The project operates according to the highest standards of professional ethics and administrative transparency.

In accordance with the National Programme for Open Science, the research results and related scientific publications are made available in Open Access to promote the free and open dissemination of scientific knowledge.
